刘思缨同学初中毕业于牛栏山一中实验学校，以超出当年分数线15分的良好成绩进入我校国际部学习。经过三年认真专注的学习，他在国际标化考试和今年高考中均取得优秀的成绩。其中雅思7分，高考成绩高于一本线30分。在国际大学的申请中他获得了悉尼大学、新南威尔士大学、墨尔本大学、英属哥伦比亚大学、滑铁卢大学、麦克马斯特大学等国际优质大学的录取通知书。结合自己的兴趣和志向，他最终选择了加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学（UBC）统计学专业，该校名列加拿大大学前三名，世界排名34位，大学排名只是一个数据参考，祝愿刘思缨同学在未来的学习中继续保持积极努力的学习生活态度，能够学有所成，实现自己的人生价值，学成归来，回报祖国！

Liu Siying graduated from Niulanshan First Secondary School and entered the International Department of our school with a score of 15points higher than the admission requirement. After three years of serious and dedicated study, he has achieved excellent results in the international standardized examination and this year's college entrance examination. He received an impressive 7.0 on the IELTS, and his college entrance examination score was 30 points higher than the provincial tier 1 university cut-off. In the application of international universities, he obtained admission offers from the University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of Melbourne, University of British Columbia, University of Waterloo, McMaster University and other brilliant international universities. Due to the combination of his own interests and aspirations, Liu Siying chose the statistics major at University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada, which is ranked in top three universities in Canada and 34th in the world. The university ranking is just a data reference. We hope Liu Siying will continue to maintain a positive attitude towards his life in future studies, be able to achieve his own value in life and eventually return to China after learning!

Graduate monologue

在牛一国际部这三年所带给我的，绝对不止书本上的知识，还有三年值得回忆的时光。这是一个充满愉快笑声和思维碰撞的集体——多元的文化、中西方思维与处事风格所汇聚而成的特殊魅力，对我们每一个从这里走出去的或是将要走出去的学生都有着难以言喻的巨大影响。

这三年一改我对高中学习生活的刻板印象，以语言学习为例，英语作为一门语言，不仅是我们未来生活可以使用的一种工具和一技之长，更是作为一种载体，去影响世界和了解世界。

在国际部的课堂上，无论是中教还是外教老师们，课堂气氛都非常活跃，教学的内容也绝不仅仅局限在课本范围内。在英语课堂上，我学到了小动物们是如何给自己导航的、歌剧和音乐剧等艺术形式是如何发展演变的、科学家们又是通过哪些手段判断文物所属的时代的......在获取知识的同时，也逐渐掌握了英语这项工具的使用方法。

在如今的国际环境下，封闭自我绝不是一条出路，这也就需要拥有国际视野和家国情怀的人站出来，在不同领域发挥自己的作用，在全球化大舞台上带来中国影响。我也体会到牛栏山一中国际部的育人方向正是如此。在学校“自觉+”理念的指导下，在“培养浸润中国传统文化，着眼世界与未来人才”的思路引领下，国际部的老师们引导我们去探索新知识，培养好习惯，这三年让我掌握了一定的自学能力和自我时间规划能力，也在不同的考试当中，收获了满意的成绩。

What have been brought to me in the past three years at Niulanshan International Department is not only the knowledge in the books, but also three years worth of memories. This is a group full of happy laughter and thinking collision - the special charm of multi culture, Chinese and Western thinking and style of doing things has an indescribable and huge impact on every student who go abroad or will go abroad soon.

In the past three years, I have changed my stereotypical thinking of high school life. Taking language learning as an example, English, as a language, is not only a tool and skill that we can use in our future life, but also a carrier to influence and understand the world.

In the classroom of the International Department, both Chinese and foreign teachers, the classroom atmosphere is very active, and the teaching content is not just limited to textbooks. In the English class, I learned how animals navigate themselves, how opera and musical forms develop and evolve, and how scientists judge the age of cultural relics and by what means... While acquiring knowledge, I gradually mastered the use of English as a tool.

In today's international environment, self isolation is by no means a way out, it actually requires people with international vision and feelings of home and country to stand up and play their role in different fields and bring China's influence on the stage of globalization. I also realized that the International Department of Niulanshan First Secondary School has the same educational orientation. Under the guidance of the school's concept of "self-consciousness" and the idea of "cultivating talents with Chinese traditional culture and focusing on the world and the future", the teachers of the International Department guided us to explore new knowledge and cultivate good habits. In the past three years, I have mastered my self-study ability and time management skill, and also gained satisfactory results in different examinations.

说给学弟学妹的话

Words for Future Students

学弟学妹们，不管你们将来是选择出国还是留在国内，掌握一门外语在我们的日常生活中正在扮演越来越重要的角色，会是我们追求梦想的必备技能，所以我们既然有这个机会和优势，为什么不抓住它，让自己变得更加出色呢？高中不只有学习和考试排名，各种活动和社团也等待着大家的参与，和同学、伙伴们一起，丰富自己在牛山留下的回忆吧。

Boys and girls, whether you choose to go abroad or stay at home in the future, mastering a foreign language is becoming more important in our daily lives, and it will be a necessary skill for us to pursue our dreams. So since we have this opportunity and advantage, why don't we seize it and make ourselves better? High school is not only learning and exam ranking, but also various activities and associations are waiting for everyone's participation. Let's enrich our memories at Niulanshan with our classmates and partners.

刘思缨同学从决定参加高考到完成高考，从3月8号到6月8号，用了整整三个月时间来准备。当成绩出来，知道他的总分超过重点本科录取分数线30分时我感到惊喜，欣慰和骄傲！这个成绩的背后蕴含着孩子的志气，勇气，毅力和脚踏实地的努力。他面对同时跨越国外录取系统和国内录取系统2个升学系统的挑战，这在很多人看来是不能完成的任务，很高兴最终孩子成功了！他不光跨越了这两个系统，并且跨得很成功。他是国际部同学们的榜样，但不应该成为特例。希望刘思缨同学的事例未来能化为国际部的一种精神力量和信仰，鼓励刘思缨同学自己和未来的同学们敢于面对挑战，积极进取，不向固有思维模式屈服，敢于把不可能变为可能，创造一个又一个新的突破。

From March 8 to June 8, Liu Siying spent three months preparing for the college entrance examination. When the results come out, I felt surprised, gratified and proud to know that his total score exceeds the key undergraduate admission score line by 30 points! Behind achievement lies ambition, courage, perseverance and down-to-earth efforts. He faced the challenge of crossing both the foreign admission system and the domestic admission system at the same time. This is a task that many people can't complete. I'm glad that he, as a student succeeded in the end! He not only crossed these two systems successfully, but he did so with flying marks! He is an example to other students in the International Department, but he should not be an exception. I hope that Liu Siying's case can be turned into a spiritual strength and belief of the international department in the future. Liu Siying and all future students should always feel encouraged to dare face the challenges, be aggressive, not yield to the inherent mode of thinking, dare to turn the impossible into the possible, and create new breakthroughs one after another.

刘思缨在班里担任体委和班长职务，体贴关心同学，有大局意识，是一个很有担当，很有目标的人。高一游学，加拿大英属哥伦比亚这所加拿大排名第二的高校就在他心中埋下了希望的种子，从此刘思缨开始不断向着梦想前进。高二疫情在家网课期间，他自觉制定计划表，锻炼身体、学习打卡，最终雅思获得7分的好成绩。高三迎战高考，高效利用时间，早6晚11点，头埋在卷子和书本里，用了大把笔芯，最终付出得到了回报，高考成绩高出一本线30分。作为他的班主任，我很欣慰，UBC的offer配的上你的努力，以后的日子里，也许困难还会出现，但我相信经过在牛中三年的磨炼之后，你将会不畏惧的勇往直前，美好的未来在向你招手！

Liu Siying held the post of Sports Committee and monitor in the class. He was considerate and concerned about his classmates and had a sense of the overall situation. Overall, he can be described as a person with a great sense of responsibility and goals. University of British Columbia, the second highest ranking university in Canada, planted the seeds of hope in his heart. Since his acceptance at this prestigious institution, Liu Siying began to move forward towards his dreams. During the second year of senior high school, he consciously made a schedule, exercised and clocked in, and finally got a good score of 7.0 in the IELTS. High school seniors face the college entrance examination and makes efficient use of time. From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., he buries his head in papers and books and uses a lot of pencil refills. In the end, his efforts are rewarded. His score in the college entrance examination is 30 points higher than that of the tier 1 cut-off line. As his head teacher, I am very glad that the offer of UBC is worthy of his efforts. In the future, difficulties may appear, but I believe that after three years of training in Niulanshan, you will not be afraid to move forward bravely, and the bright future is waving to you!

刘思缨，壮壮实实的大男孩。阳光温暖是我对他的第一印象，是领袖一样的人物！课堂上，他领悟的快，在老师的邀请下，会极其耐心细致的讲给其他同学听；课堂下，他会积极解决同学们生活中的问题；家里面，他宠爱极了他的小妹妹，妹妹生日礼物送什么好呢，就五三练习册吧！严谨自律，前程似锦！

Liu Siying is a strong boy. My first impression of him was his sunny and warm personality, a potential leader! In class, he grasped concepts quickly. At the teacher's invitation, he will patiently and carefully tell other students; In class, he will actively solve the problems in the students' life; At home, he is very fond of his little sister. “What's a good gift for her birthday? Let's take the Wusan exercise book!” With strict self-discipline, he will have a bright future!

In the past three years, Liu Siying was active in all kinds of activities both inside and outside the classroom. When he encountered any problems in his studies, he broke through any barriers and studied even harder. He also actively participated in class organization and monitoring, which is the embodiment of his earnest and optimistic personality. After getting the offer from UBC, he decided to take part in the college entrance examination. On the basis of his original studies, Liu Siying had to be familiar with this new form of examination, reorganize the knowledge he had acquired before, and then put it into the framework of the college entrance examination. This is a very challenging goal. With his unremitting efforts, he broke through many difficulties and finally completed the task!
